How to Create a Beautiful & Functional Coffee Station at Home
The coffee station in my kitchen is a total game-changer! In this post, I’m sharing my favorite products, the best tips for setting up your own beautiful coffee bar, and more.
Calling all coffee lovers! If you’re looking to create your dream coffee station in your home, here are my top coffee bar ideas and recommendations. In recent years, coffee bars have been gaining popularity. Whether you’re trying to cut down on your trips to the coffee shop or just love your morning brew, an at-home coffee station is the perfect addition to your home office or kitchen. No matter if you have a large setup or a small space to work with, you can craft a fabulous coffee station. I hope you find inspiration from these coffee station ideas to create your own “caffeine corner!”

What Is My Coffee Station Setup?
When Zane and I renovated our kitchen, we knew that having a coffee station was an absolute must! We have a modern kitchen, so I wanted the aesthetic of our coffee station to match that. It has sliding pocket doors that fold into the door frame, so it looks lovely when left open. We added tile backsplash, lighting, and gorgeous gold hardware for a more elevated aesthetic. If you don’t want to add backlighting, mini LED lamps like these are a great way to add cozy light. We also added pull-out open shelves with handles where we store small appliances like our coffee maker, tea kettle, coffee blends, and mugs/teacups. This has been a game changer for keeping unnecessary appliances from cluttering up the counter! Paul Salter from Cabinetry Refinishing Enterprises built my coffee station, and I cannot recommend him enough!
Choosing the Perfect Spot
The perfect spot for a coffee station will vary from person to person depending on your space. For me, it was our kitchen since that is where we enjoy our coffee, and we were already renovating that area in our house. Some people might prefer to have a “coffee bar cabinet” in their dining room or a setup in their office nook if they work from home.
My Favorite Coffee Bar Essentials
From coffee makers to coffee cups to accessories, these are my “essential” products! The best part about a customizable coffee station is that you can store whatever you love! Whether it’s a traditional coffee maker, an espresso machine, or a French press, choosing your coffee maker is the first step.

My Favorite Coffee Makers
- Breville Creatista – This is what I have in my coffee bar, and it’s my go-to. I use it daily and love how it froths milk!
- Cuisinart Perfect Coffee Maker- I love this model for a traditional coffee pot option.
- Nespresso Vertuo – This is what I have downstairs in my kitchenette.
- Bonus– I love this grinder for grinding whole bean coffee.

My Favorite Mugs
- JoyJolt 16 oz Pila Double Wall Insulated Coffee Mugs – One of my favorite features about the JoyJolt Pila and the Stoiva mugs is that they are stackable, making them easy to store.
- JoyJolt Stoiva Double Wall Insulated Coffee Mugs
- JoyJolt 13.5 oz Double Wall Glass Coffee Mugs
- Bandesun All Glass Iced Coffee Cup With Lids and Straws – With the lids and straws, these glass coffee cups are the perfect option to take your coffee on the go. I also love the pattern on the glass!
- Iced Coffee Cup with Lid and Straw – Not a fan of patterns? These ribbed glass coffee cups are another great option for on-the-go, but have a more minimalist aesthetic.

Organizing Your Coffee Bar
For me, the most fun part was organizing my coffee station! These are my top tips for creating a beautiful and functional coffee setup.
- Invest in stylish storage for your coffee pods, beans, and accessories! Whether you prefer glass jars or woven baskets, find your aesthetic and stick to it. This truly makes all the difference. I love these Williams Sonoma glass storage jars for coffee and tea as well as these JoyJolt multi-size airtight glass containers with bamboo lids.
- Display your products (especially the ones you reach for every day) neatly and make sure they’re accessible. I love this Williams Sonoma marble stand for displaying syrups and coffee mugs. I also enjoy gold syrup dispensers for showcasing all the flavors in a simple yet pretty way.
- Don’t be afraid to have fun! You can display espresso spoons like these gold or silver ones, and try to include fun “add-ons” like biscottis, cinnamon sticks, or truffles. Around the holidays you can keep your coffee station stocked with treats like peppermint chips, mini candy canes, and marshmallows.

My Favorite Coffee Recommendations:
- Everyday Dose: I LOVE this coffee and their collagen coffee creamer. I drink it daily and it has so many health benefits! It’s lower in caffeine, so you won’t get the “caffeine jitters.” Perfect for an afternoon cup of coffee! Use code SAVVY for a special discount!
- For Nespresso machines, my favorite Nespresso pods are the Caramello & Vaniglia.
- I order Gevalia House Blend Medium Roast & Gevalia Traditional Roast ground coffee and love it.
