The Brain Aneurysm That Gave Her a Better Marriage, a Healed Mind, & a Brand New Life

When my dear friend Debra Hewitt texted me and said, “Jamie, you have got to get Sarah Faulkner on The SavvyCast,” I listened. And I am so glad I did! Sarah is a brain aneurysm survivor, but this conversation is not just a story about surviving. It is a story about what comes after

After a ruptured aneurysm, Sarah went through emergency surgery and 21 days in the ICU. What she came home to was something none of us could have predicted: a troubled marriage transformed from the ground up, childhood trauma healed that she had carried for decades, and a faith that changed the way she sees everything.

She is also the founder of Milk Velvet Pearls, a jewelry ministry built on the truth that beauty is born from struggle, and Sarah’s story is living proof of just that.

Who is Sarah Faulkner?

Sarah Faulkner is a brain aneurysm survivor and the founder of Milk Velvet Pearls, a faith-inspired jewelry brand built on the belief that beauty is born through seasons of pressure, patience, and trust in God’s timing. After leaving a successful career in construction management and engineering, Sarah followed God’s call to create jewelry that would encourage women to trust that He was creating something beautiful in their lives. Then, everything changed.

Sarah survived a catastrophic ruptured brain aneurysm that doctors did not expect her to survive. What followed were months of painful physical and cognitive rehabilitation. But what began as gratitude for simply being alive grew into the greatest love story of her life. As she drew closer to God, her mind was renewed, her heart found freedom, and her life was transformed.

Today, Sarah encourages women to stop striving for worth and begin living from the identity God has already given them. Through biblical truth, practical daily habits, and the hope of the Gospel, she reminds her audiences that God designed us to renew our minds, transform our lives, and discover the treasure He has placed within each of us. She is currently writing her debut memoir, Finding the Pearl Within.
