The Best Iced Coffee Punch for Any Occasion
I’ve tried many, and this is the BEST ice cream coffee punch for a shower, tea, or brunch.
There are so many recipes online for the classic Southern coffee punch, but I’ve found this one inspired by Southern Living’s Iced Coffee Punch is my very favorite! I love to serve it at bridal showers, baby showers, holiday parties, and more! It is always delicious and always a hit. Be sure to save this recipe for your next party or shower, and be prepared for someone to ask you for the recipe! I hope you love this easy coffee punch as much and I do!

What Is Coffee Punch?
Coffee Punch or Ice Cream Coffee Punch is a Southern staple, and it is always a crowd favorite! There are several variations to this punch, but I’ve found this particular recipe is a hit every time. It is creamy, festive, and has the perfect coffee flavor! You’ll make your own coffee concentrate from ground coffee, setting this recipe apart from others you may find online! You’ll also use heavy whipping cream and two flavors of ice cream, but you won’t use condensed milk.
A Two-Part Recipe:
Two separate recipes are involved in making the Southern Living version of iced coffee punch. The first one is for coffee concentrate, which is the base for the punch. It can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to one month. The second recipe is for the coffee-ice cream punch. This recipe includes the ingredients + instructions for putting it all together on the day of the shower or brunch.

Consider Making A Coffee Ice Mold:
An easy and novel way to keep ice cream coffee punch cold is to make a coffee ice mold. For convenience, I use purchased cold brew coffee (like Strok or Chamelon) for the mold. Simply pour the coffee into the mold, freeze it, and add to the punch bowl after mixing the punch. You could also use ice cube trays or other freezable mold shapes to freeze the coffee for the punch!

What Is A “Coffee Concentrate?”
While “coffee concentrate” may sound intimidating, it is just double strength coffee. It is so simple to make your own using coffee grounds or even instant coffee, but feel free to buy coffee concentrate as well! Cold brew coffee works great as a coffee concentrate. I just make sure to sweeten the cold brew and add the other ingredients to it before using it for the punch! If you want to be mindful of caffeine, feel free to use decaf coffee grounds.
How Do I Make This Coffee Punch Recipe?
Start by stirring together your coffee grounds and water to make the coffee concentrate! Let this sit for 12 hours at room temperature. After the concentrate has steeped, pour the coffee mixture through a large, fine wire-mesh strainer and discard the grounds. Repeat this process one more time using a cheesecloth or coffee filter, and put the coffee mixture in a large airtight container or pitcher and store it in the fridge.
When you’re ready to make a batch of coffee punch, pull your concentrate out of the fridge. In a large bowl, mix the coffee concentrate together with whipping cream or whole milk. Add in almond or vanilla extract and a dash os salt. Set this mixture aside and scoop your vanilla and chocolate ice cream into a large punch bowl. Pour your concentrate into the punch bowl and gently stir the mixture until the ice cream melts slightly.
How Should I Serve Coffee Punch?
I love to serve this in elegant punch glasses for a shower, but it is also adorable served in glass mugs or mason jars. For an extra garnish, I like to add caramel syrup or chocolate syrup. I love to add red and green sprinkles if I’m serving it for a Christmas party!
